Nancy is a former Schmitz Park parent and generously donates her time to the library each week at school. She logged over 25 hours in March. She has earned the reserved parking spot for the month of April. And, THANK YOU to the Fredericks who purchased the parking spot during our auction this year and donated it to our Volunteer of the Month.  
Schmitz Park Science Night 8.5×11 Now is your chance to experience the science that your student is learning in the classroom first hand. You and your student can enjoy hands on science from a full spectrum of science and technology community organizations, Schmitz Park families each grade and the student counsel.  This Thursday’s Science Celebration is your opportunity, and it is free. Projects from each grade, including Rube Goldberg machines, Dinosaur fun and boat design
Congratulations to our February Volunteer of the Month – Cheri Carl.  Cheri is mom to 2nd grader Ryan.  She helps in the classroom, on field trips, with Scholastic orders, as a recess monitor and is the Communications Chair for our PTA.  She enjoys traveling, swimming, yoga, spending time with her family and jumping on the trampoline with her son. “Cheri, your dedication and service is greatly appreciated.  Schmitz Park is a better place because of you.” –

Parents! Join your Schmitz Park educators at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 18 on the playground in a national day of action.  Students, teachers, and parents from schools across the country will be participating in a walk-in to demonstrate our commitment to fully funding education for all children.  Once the 8:35 a.m. bell rings, students will join their classmates and teachers to enter school together.  We invite parents to stay afterward to talk! Help Schmitz Park send a clear message to our legislators to continue to fund education! Come and help plan a “walk-in” at Schmitz Park for February 18. The walk-in is being held to continue to show support for funding education. This is a district wide event.  We need a few interested parents to meet with Ms.Alyesworth to plan the morning walk-in.
