We’re kicking off our Genesee PTA Education Series with the opportunity to watch the documentary “Screenagers Next Chapter,” either on your own time or in person.
In “Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience,” filmmaker and physician Delaney Ruston uses a personal lens and professional eye to help us all flip the script on stress, anxiety, and depression. Ruston sets out to understand these challenges in our current screen-filled society, and how we as parents and schools empower kids to overcome mental health challenges and build emotional agility, communication savvy, and stress resilience.
Two ways to participate:
- Watch the film virtually at your convenience from 10/17-10/31. Register to get the link here.
- Watch the film in community with other families, followed by a facilitated discussion: 10/25, 7-9pm, Fairmount Park Elementary Cafeteria 3800 SW Findlay St., Seattle, WA, 98126. Register here.
The Genesee PTA Education Series is planned in conjunction with South Seattle Co-op Preschools, Fairmount Park Elementary, and Pathfinder K-8, and will continue throughout the school year.
